Twenty years ago, I walked into one of Bangladesh’s pioneer BPO companies, as an employee.

I wasn’t a founder.

I wasn’t running a business.

I didn’t have a team.

I was simply an employee trying to learn, perform well, and build a career.

But looking back, those early years shaped much of what I would eventually build.

While working there, I had the opportunity to support a client very closely and become deeply involved in their operations. The relationship and work grew significantly, and the client eventually established its own wholly owned KPO operation in Bangladesh.

That experience gave me one of the most important lessons of my career:

Outsourcing isn’t just about completing someone else’s tasks. It’s about creating enough value that you become part of their growth.

My journey continued from there.

Working in the local financial industry helped me develop deeper knowledge of finance, accounting, controls, and business operations.

Working in international call centers taught me another side of business — communication, listening, managing expectations, solving problems, and working with people from different cultures.

I didn’t know it then, but all these experiences were preparing me for something else.

Then came 2017.

After more than a decade of learning as an employee and professional, I finally began my entrepreneurial journey.

AccountEx BPO started with one person: me.

No 50-person team.

No departments.

No sophisticated delivery structure.

Just one person, one computer, clients to serve, and a belief that something bigger could be built.

Slowly, that changed.

One client became several.

One person became a small team.

The small team became a growing organization.

And what started with accounting and bookkeeping evolved into a broader Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) operation with accounting at its core — supporting businesses and accounting firms with bookkeeping, AP/AR, month-end close, financial reporting, process management, and increasingly complex finance operations.

Today, AccountEx BPO has grown to 50+ team members — and we continue to grow every month.

But when I look at this journey, the number isn’t what matters most to me.

What matters is seeing young professionals build their careers here.

Seeing our people become trusted extensions of businesses and accounting firms thousands of miles away.

Seeing work performed from Bangladesh become an important part of a client’s operation.

And realizing that the lesson I learned as an employee almost 20 years ago still guides how we operate today:

Don’t compete simply by being cheaper.
Become valuable.
Become dependable.
Become a partner in your client’s growth.

I started this journey in 2006 as an employee.

I started my entrepreneurial journey in 2017 alone.

Today, in 2026, more than 50 people are part of the AccountEx BPO journey.

And perhaps the most exciting thought is this:

We are still at the beginning of what we want to build.

I believe Bangladesh can offer the world much more than low-cost outsourcing.

We can build world-class knowledge teams from Bangladesh.

That’s the future I want AccountEx BPO to be part of.

From employee to entrepreneur.
From one person to 50+.
From outsourcing tasks to building knowledge partnerships.
